| Tracy
graduated from Salford College with a B.A in Graphic Design &
Illustration in 1983. She went on to work as a freelance illustrator
working with clients such as: Oxford University Press, Missoni Fashion,
POPrint Cards, & City Life Magazine amongst others.
She
continued her career as an illustrator by accepting a position at
Hallmark Cards in Kansas City Missouri, in the U.S, and designed
award winning giftwrap, greeting cards and other surface design
product, as well as posters, stationery, gift bags, packaging and
3 dimensional toys.Tracy moved to New York in 1998 to pursue a freelance
illustration career.Some of her clients include: Starbucks, Nickelodeon
T.V, American Girl, Crate & Barrel, Unicef, Great Arrow, Time
Warner, Galison Books, Chronicle Books, Porter Novelli, Fast Company,
TIME Asia, Christian Science Monitor & Little Brown Publishing
amongst others.
After
3 years with 'Lilla Rogers' Tracy decided to go it alone, maintaining
existing clients and gaining new ones one in particular whilst renting
a booth at the 'Licensing Show' in the Jacob Javits Convention center
in New York City, she was 'discovered' by her soon-to-be editor,
Cindy Eagan of Little Brown Publishing.
What
culminated in this great connection and meeting of minds, was a
2 book contract to write and illustrate her first children's book
entitled 'BAD CAT' which was published in June 2003 in the U.S,
Japan & S.Korea and is listed in the United States Library of
Congress.
