 Of Turkish and Yugoslavian origin, Vacide was
born in Lima, Peru in 1974.
Her career as an artist was focused towards
painting and studying fine arts in the Universidad
Católica.
After experimenting in different art fields, such as
set design, cabinet design, photography and
illustration workshops, she felt the necessity of a
wider form of expression and devoted her
attention to object design.

In 2001 she started her own company: ARTIFICIO
DESIGN, located in Lima, which manufactures
placemats, games and coasters; all adorned with
Vacide’s unique and simple graphic designs
depicting elementary geometric forms devoted to
aesthetic purity.
